Hope you all enjoyed the Christmas holidays and are excited to be back to school again.
Lots of exciting things happened us before Christmas:
Emily in first class won a prize in the Fingal County Council Green Schools colouring competition - well done Emily we are very proud of you!
The Christmas nativity play "Away in a manger" was a great success I think everyone will agree. Thanks to all the parents who helped out with lifts, costumes and gave us great support on the night.
Mr Kennedy also wants to say a huge THANK YOU for all the lovely presents he got from the boys and girls for Christmas.
We are back in school two weeks now and have been working hard since we came back. Last week we looked at a famous painting by the artist Andy Warhol, who painted the actress Marilyn Monroe. So we decided to paint our own! They came out great as you can see:
We have also done a lot of work on pets since we came back. We wrote about our favourite pets, and this week we paid a fantastic visit to Kinsealy Pet Store. We got to see loads of interesting and amazing animals, and we were lucky that we got to see a couple of the pets out of their cages! One of the pets even said "Hello" to us! Can you guess which one? Here are some of the pictures from our visit:
We decided to make our own fish tank when we got back to the classroom, and so we made some very colourful fish as a collage in our art lesson:
Here are some fun games to keep everyone busy during the week

See you all soon!
